Joke: Underwear

One evening, while thinking I was being funny, I said to my wife “Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in Slim Fast. Maybe it would take an inch or 2 off of your butt!”!

My wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn’t let such a comment go unrewarded.

The next morning I took a pair of underwear out of my drawer, “What is this?” I said to myself as a little dust cloud appeared when I shook them out.

“Connie”, I hollered into the bathroom, “Why did you put talcum powder in my underwear?”

She replied…..

It’s not talcum powder, it’s Miracle Grow!”

Joke: Toilet Talk

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying: ‘Hi, how are you?’

I’m not the type to start a conversation in the men’s restroom, but I don’t know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed, ‘Doin’ just fine.’

And the other guy says: ‘So what are you up to?’

What kind of question is that? At that point, I’m thinking this is too bizarre so I say: ‘Uhhh, I’m like you, just traveling.’

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question. ‘Can I come over?’

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell him, ‘No……..I’m a little busy right now!!!’

Then I hear the guy say nervously…

‘Listen, I’ll have to call you back. There’s an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions.’

€435m Broadband Plan for Ireland

The Government has unveiled a next-generation network (NGN) plan that will see €435m pumped into a nationwide fibre-optic network, with state-owned fibre technology being utilised and broadband made universal by 2010.

The plan, unveiled today by the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Eamon Ryan TD (pictured), will make use of significant dark fibre networks belonging to Bord Gáis, ESB and CIÉ around the country to develop a nationwide backhaul network available to telecom operators on an open access basis.

ECB Raises Interest Rates

Yep yet another increase. The European Central Bank has raised its key lending rate by a quarter-point to 4.25%.

Banks and building societies are expected to pass the rate increase on to mortgage holders in the weeks ahead.

The increase was flagged by the President of the European Central Bank last month and comes after heightened concerns at the ECB about inflation in Europe.

The most recent estimate suggested that European inflation has reached 4% on average, which is the highest since the introduction of the Euro.

It is expected that mortgage repayments will rise by about €15 per month for every €100,000 borrowed over a 20-year period and €16 per month for a similar 30-year loan.
